Review of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula
South Korea called on Inca. Well, not exactly. It called on her mother because it wanted her to be a judge at a cooking competition. This competition was between the South and the North. Inca, a Siberian kitty, was over the moon with excitement for several reasons. The main reason was that she would finally get to see what South Korea looked like. Fromage, her brother, was excited for just one reason. He was going to join Missy in unveiling a new cheese, and he could not wait. Unknown to both of them, an adventure awaited them. They would have to dump everything to go into North Korea to see if they could rescue a friend. They hope to be successful, but no one can tell until that day comes.
R.F. Kristi gave us a classic story in Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula. The animals in the story do things you and I wish we could do. One is an excellent cheese maker. The other is an excellent detective and an admirer of herself. Another member of their family is very empathetic towards others and cannot bear to see others suffer. They each have their strengths, and together, they form a formidable team. The most important thing that I noticed was their friendship. Yes, they lived to solve crimes and make cheese, but they loved each other in ways you could never imagine. This warmed my heart and made me love the book. The level of friendship and care the characters showed each other is what I liked most.
Negative aspects of the book were nonexistent. You cannot hope that I will mention what is not there. I can't criticize anything about the book, even though I wished it was longer. It was a quick read, and I finished it before I even knew it. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula was action-packed, entertaining, and educational.
Young readers will benefit greatly from picking up this book because it is rich in teaching empathy, history, and facts. I recommend this to readers aged three to twelve who live with a pet and love animals. They should read it because it teaches them a lot about how to treat their cute furry friends.
My rating for Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is 4 out of 4 stars. The justification for this rating is its professional editing, lack of things to criticize about it, and its interesting storyline. I have fallen in love with Inca and her family. I cannot wait to read more books with these characters in them.
