Mr. Teddy Bear by Sharon Odell is an illustrated nursery rhyme about Mr. Teddy Bear, who protected his family from a robber. The day started with a little girl noticing Mr. Teddy Bear riding on her favorite toy mare in the living room. When suddenly, they spot a robber breaking into their family’s house. How would Mr. Teddy Bear save the little girl and her family?

My little siblings enjoyed looking at the illustrations. It was vibrant, and the art style was beautiful. The format of artworks and written poems are also formatted well. The illustrator placed the written verses words in the pages of the illustrations. Additionally, I’d like to note that the rhymes were also excellent. The rhymes are not just found at the end of each line; there are also internal rhymes. It truly made the nursery rhyme fun to recite for children.

A children’s book in the form of a poem is usually short. So, even though this book only has four pages. I still think that some parents would be interested in buying this book for their kids. Some parents may not like this book because this book doesn’t have any moral lessons. This book is just a fun and vibrant nursery rhyme.

In conclusion, I would rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I only found one grammatical mistake. I would’ve given this book a perfect rating if it was a little bit longer and had a moral of the story that children can learn. It’s just a fun illustration book that would entertain children.

I would recommend this for children ages 2-6 years old. It’s a fun read with colorful illustrations. If parents want their kids to read something that can teach them some appropriate moral lessons, this book is not for them.
