Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is the eighth book in The Inca Cat Detective Series. This installment is set in South Korea, where Inca’s mom is invited to judge a cooking competition. Follow the fun-filled adventure of Inca and her friends as they protect their human’s delicious cheese from a competitor’s malicious intent and as they help their new friends get reunited with their family in North Korea.

What I liked most about this book is the sibling dynamics of Inca, Cara, Fromage, and Charlotte. They act like real siblings who argue a lot but still love and admire each other. They even act like real children of their human. They are intelligent and a little stubborn. But like most stubborn children, they only want to have fun and do what they think is right. This book also shows excellent friendships. A child reading this book would learn how to become brave, a good friend, and a good sibling.

There’s nothing I disliked about this book. I read the first book of this series a few months ago, and I still remember the characters and events from that book. That shows that the author is a great writer whose books are memorable and well-written. This is a type of book that would stay in children's memories even if they've grown up.

In conclusion, I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I loved everything about this book and didn’t find any grammatical mistakes. This is a good book with charming characters, fun adventures, and a few lessons about South and North Korea’s history and culture. It is well-written, memorable, and fun to read.

I would recommend this to children aged 7 to 10 years old. I think they would enjoy following Inca’s adventure and detective work. This book would be an excellent example for children to learn about bravery, helpfulness, and critical thinking. I’d also like to note that even though the characters mentioned some past adventures, new readers can still read it as a standalone.
