The author of the book portrayed a young girl that always treats her brother with so much love that could be felt by the readers. It was so refreshing to see how Mary Grace always has a positive view on life, she's always ready to tackle every challenges and treats them like a mystery that needs to be solved.

The Miller family was a picture perfect family that consisted of a kind and deep thinking father, a fun extroverted mother, a smart detective daughter with the biggest heart and little Donny. whose smile lights up the hearts of everyone around him. The family was a very happy one, that was until the kids heard a news worse than their parent getting a divorce, their parents moving to Africa, and even worse the kids had to live with their grand parents in California.

The book showed us how a kid that just wants to fit in at school became the target of a bully. Mary Grace solved the mystery of her bully alongside the Grandma gang which consisted of her grandmother and her grandmother's friends. Through the help of her detective mind, Mary Grace was able to reveal the face of her bully and even helped to convince her teachers and principal not to punish the bully according to the school principles, and instead punish Justin the bully in a way that he'd grow and learn from it, which in the end worked out well and made Justin become a better person and an even better friend to Donny

The book also thought me that not all bullying has to be physical, there could be emotional bullying, mental bullying and even bullying can be done through a mean writing. Though all this, it was nice to see Mary Grace's positive view never changing despite the insults and mean words. With this in mind, I rate the book a solid 4 out of 4

I had a great time reading this book, and I look forward to reading more books from the author Catherine Anna Pepe.
