Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi is a children’s book about a cat detective named Inca. Inca, her family, and their human mother go to South Korea. Her human mother had created a delicious cheese, and she was invited to a French cooking school, Cordon Bleu Cookery, to present her cheese and to be a judge in the cooking competition between North and South Korea. The cat detectives led by Inca realized there was a sister and her cat who were living in the North. They start an investigation, and they befriend the Korean dog. They are determined to help the sister and her cat come back home. Will one cat detective bring a difference? Will they help the sister and her cat come back home? Read this book and find out.

I like several aspects of this book which makes it very interesting. The author uses animals as the characters in the story, which makes the story very appealing to the children. It also helps teach children the importance of animals and to treat animals with care and love. I also liked the creativity the author used to create a story by making the animals in the story act like human beings. The author uses visual aids when designing the story attracting children by making the book appealing to them.

I did not find anything to dislike in the book since the story was interesting. The author used simple language that children can read and understand. She also ensured that the sentences were short and the contents per page were not huge so that it may not be boring to children encouraging them to read.

I rate Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi four out of four stars. The book was explicitly edited; hence, I found no errors. It also had several positive aspects, and there were no negative aspects. So with all these great things about this book, I find it deserves that rating.

I recommend this book to children between 4 to 8 years. It would be helpful to them since the content contained in the book would be useful to them. The book uses animals as characters in the story which may help children in early development to learn to love and appreciate animals. It also expands their knowledge and the importance of teamwork.
