Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventures by Catherine Anna Pepe is a Beautiful book that seems to improve a person's feeling of love and compassion toward people with disabilities and impairments. There is Donny the sweet child with Down syndrome who lives beyond the odds as he takes on lots of Adventures and experiences during his stay in California with his sister Mary Grace at their grandparents' for a few months after a life changing twist of events in their lives.

It would be fair if I have two favourite characters in this book because Donny and Mary Grace are two Beautiful souls! The love and affection they show for each other, both trying to be strong for the other, doing things in uniform and making everyone love them wherever they go is just perfect for children to learn from.

The Author, with this book sheds light on the many amazing things people with disability could do if they are given the privilege to do it; disabled people are not meant to live with the stigma of being useless and different from people in the society. A lot of times, people with down syndrome are not allowed to participate in some activities like Exercises, playing with friends and are even expected to not know how to talk, walk or even work an actual job.

I find NO COUNTABLE ERRORS in this book, though the Author was not able to arrange words in a captivating way and make chapters brief enough for children to enjoy while reading the book, therefore I rate it a 4 out of 4 stars. More of these kind of books should be Published and even movies acted to enlighten and change the mindset of people toward those with impairments or disabilities for better.

I recommend this book to Children and teens because it would help improve their mindset and educate them on the evils of mistreating and looking down on people with disabilities in their societies. The Author deserves an award for this wonderful book!
