Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is one of the children's books in The Inca Cat Detective Series. The book revolves around the mystery of animal investigations. Inca, the Siberian Kitty, and her furry family are traveling to South Korea with Missy, her human mom. Missy received an invitation from the famous French cookery school where she would introduce her newly made Crème de la Crème cheese and again be one of the judges for Le Cordon Bleu's competition between the North and South Korean chefs. Upon arrival, the cats make new friends: Terrance, the Korean detective dog, and Solo, his master, who is pining for his long-lost sister living in North Korea. They have refreshing moments but again feel detached from their loved ones. Many dangers await the animal detectives while crossing from South to North Korea.

It is a fancy book to read. The author has provided sufficient background information on the detectives to make the reader catch up with the storyline. The captivating story has been made feasible by the illustrations. The author has skillfully schemed his plots, remarkably the animal-detective mystery involving the Inca and Company agencies, its fame reaching London in England, France, and soon in the Korean Peninsula. Again, the author has highlighted the personalities of the animal characters, pointing to courage, innocence, and resilience, virtues to be instilled in children readers today. Moreover, the author is pretty creative, mainly in how she has painted Inca, the snoopy cat, Siberian cat leader, detective, and a diarist, being a proud little kitty, introducing himself: 'I am Inca, a super-duper cat detective.'

There is nothing to dislike in this book.

I rate this book four out of four stars. The book is written in an easy-to-read format. Additionally, the book is well-written and informative for children. Moreover, the contents align with the title, Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat.

I recommend this book to pet-loving children. The author wrote a heart-touching storyline about the cross-border adventure and experience of the Inca and her cat family when they toured South Korea.
