Bullying is an act that is widely preached against and some countries even have laws that punish people who bully others

Mary Grace and Donny became victims of the bully after they got separated from their parents. Their parents were assigned to go to Africa to do some work, so the children had to go to California to stay with their grandparents for the period that their parents will be away. They got enrolled into North Elementary School and got bullied by one of the students but Mary Grace being smart and kind, thanks to the Grandma Gang, solved the bullying act and was even successful in turning the Bully into a kind person.

Although Mary Grace was upset because she was to go and stay in California, she became excited and thankful at the end for going there.

Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventures is a non-fiction book written by Catherine A. Pepe. It is a seventeen-chapter book, with each chapter bringing to us a new chapter of events in the lives of Mary Grace and Donny. Catherine uses plain and simple language in this book. She tells us some emotional stress that both children and parents are likely to pass through during a separation. She also enlightens us on the act of bullying, its forms, effects, and punishment that can be meted out to the culprits.

I really enjoyed every bit of this book. The sadness that comes when the kids are faced with challenges, and the relief and excitement I experience when the kids overcome the challenges, kept me enthused that I didn't want the book to get an end. This is an interesting book for kids, especially siblings, reading of how Mary Grace and Donny bonded. It is lovely.
All the characters of the book were spectacular, but I loved Mary Grace, Donny, and the Grandma Gang most. Their kindness, wisdom, and patience is one of a kind. There are no negative comments from me on this book.

This book was well edited, so I found no errors. It is one of the best books I will recommend for both parents and children. This book deserves a five out of five stars.
