Cat Detectives In The Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat, written by R. F. Kristi, is a children's book about a group of animal detectives that try to solve a mystery of a divided family. Inca is the leader of animal detectives, and the other members include Fromage, Cara, Monk, Charlotte, Terrance, and Polo. Inca has solved many cases with the help of her cat detectives team. Their human mother, Missy, had been invited to Korea after designing a wonderful cheese. She was to be a judge in a cooking competition and also present the cheese. She left for Korea with the cat detectives, where they realized a certain family had lost a sister and a cat to North Korea. Will they unite the family? Read this book and find out.

What I liked most was the use of pictures while narrating the story. The author used pictures of the animal detectives in the book. It encourages children to read the book and create a mental image of what the cat detectives look like. I also liked the use of animals as characters since it encourages children to appreciate animals and learn their importance. Finally, I liked the author's style of using short-structured sentences. It makes it easier for children to read the book and understand its content. It also motivates them to read it.

I have nothing to criticize in the book since it was good enough for children. The contents per page were low, and the book was short, motivating children to read it; hence, nothing to dislike.

I rate Cat Detectives In The Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi five out of five stars. The book was exceptionally well-edited since I found no errors. It had many positive aspects and no negative aspects. The storyline that involved using animal characters to solve a mystery was impressive and worth a perfect rating.

I recommend this book to children between 5 to 9 years. It would be helpful since the content contained in the book fits children of that age gap because the author uses animals as characters. It would help them appreciate animals and think creatively.
