The book Roarasaurus, written by Great-Aunt Rita (and she really is GREAT) with lots of help from Jake and Elina Farber, was a fun-filled and exceptionally chaotic story. The book follows the adventure of Great-Aunt Rita, Jake, and Elina as they are terrorized by a prehistoric toy. With Jake’s birthday approaching, Great-Aunt Rita decides to go to a toy store where she finds the perfect gift: a walking, talking dinosaur.

While the gift seemed perfect at first, things take a chaotic turn when the walking, talking dinosaur does more roaring and running. The new toy quickly turns into a pest that terrorizes the whole house. Although the toy was not exactly what Jake expected, in the end, he learns a valuable lesson that is more beneficial than any toy.

I enjoyed the chaotic humor in this book. It was even more hilarious since this book was based on a true story. From start to finish, the story was full of fun that kept me laughing the whole way through. Besides being exceptionally entertaining, this book also delivered a wonderful and meaningful message about friendship.

The illustrations by Mike Sofka were also very colorful and cute. The story was entertaining by itself, but the inclusion of the pictures only made it better. The illustrations provided an outstanding visual representation of the story as I read. At times, the images made me laugh even more than the writing since the pictures also seemed to be filled with mayhem and amusement.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. The story kept me entertained from beginning to end, and I believe many kids would love this book. Also, I found no errors, as this book was exceptionally well edited.

Due to the reasons listed above, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. This would be an entertaining story for adults and children alike. I recommend this book to young kids as it would be excellent reading material. This book would also be a fun story to read in a class or as a family.
