Jake receives a dinosaur toy as a birthday gift from his aunt, Great-Aunt Rita. However, the toy turns out to be a troublesome item. The dinosaur cannot just stop roaring and soaring all over the house. Great-Aunt Rita's intervention seems to put a stop to the dinosaur's menace until it resurfaces again. Jake is worried and terrified until his mother shows up and gives him a piece of advice. Can this advice turn Jake's seeming worst nightmare into a joyful and lovely connection or cause him more trouble?

Roarasaurus: The Roaring Soaring Dinosaur! is an interesting children's story written by Great-Aunt Rita (and she really is GREAT!) with lots of help from Jake and Elina Farber. According to the author, the whole story in this book happened in real life. The story is illustrated by Mike Sofka.

I liked that the author made the right word choices in this book. The language is simple and clear. The sentences are short yet vivid. The paintings were colourful and captured memorable sections of the story. The narration is straightforward and captivating. All these should give children a satisfying reading experience.

Furthermore, the author did an amazing job with the character development. For example, Jake and Elina's fears are realistic and typical of children their age. Again, Great-Aunt Rita's warm and kind dispositions truly explain why she is crowned "Grandma-Aunt Rita."

The characters radiate positive values and energies, and these are healthy for children's consumption. For example, Jake is the epitome of corrigibility and love for all creatures. This book has earned its place in the struggle to raise responsible and humane children.

This book is painstakingly edited. I did not find any grammatical errors in it. There is nothing to dislike in this book. I am happy to rate it five out of five stars. The rating is based on the aforementioned positive points. I don't have any reason to rate it lower.

I recommend this book to children ages five to nine. I am confident they will enjoy this story and the beautiful paintings. Readers above this age limit can also enjoy this story. This book will make a great Christmas gift for children.
