Roarasaurus by Great-Aunt Rita (Rita Berman) tells the story of Jake Farber, a young boy who has been gifted with a very special toy dinosaur. Unlike most toy dinosaurs, Jake's dinosaur is able to both walk and talk. In fact, it walks and talks so well that it cannot be stopped, and the entire house ultimately becomes engulfed in chaos. Only Jake has any chance of solving the "problem" and helping himself and his family escape. Can he do it? There's only one way to find out!

This book was extremely engaging. It is precisely the type of book that my son begs for at bedtime: short and entertaining, with an important underlying message. The characters were interesting, as was the plot, and the artwork was very well done. The narrative as a whole was coherent and detailed, with no errors that I could find. In short, it was clear that a lot of time, work, and love was put into this story.

I was unable to find anything that I truly disliked about this book. Although I would have liked the story to be slightly longer, I did not find this to be an inherent flaw, but, rather, my own personal preference. In fact, I would argue that this is a strength. If my only "complaint" is that I wish there was more of a book, that pretty clearly signifies that it was a good book.

I decided to rate Roarasaurus by Great-Aunt Rita (Rita Berman) 5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed this book tremendously and could find nothing that I disliked about it. As a result, I believe that it is worthy of a perfect rating.

I would recommend this book to children in general or anyone who reads to their children. I firmly believe that all children have something to gain from this book, not just those who like dinosaurs. However, I do believe that children with an interest in dinosaurs may find Roarasaurus more entertaining and easy to connect with.
