Review of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula
R.F. Kristi's Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is an adventure story about a cat named Inca and her family of animals, who run a detective agency. Inca, Fromage, Cara, Monk, Charlotte, Terrance, and Polo make up the animal detective agency. This time, their investigation case and mystery-solving take them to the Korean Peninsula.
Inca and her animal companions traveled to Korea to support their humanoid mother, Missy, who was judging a French patisserie competition. When they arrived at their destination, they were greeted by a tour guide named Ye-Jun, who took them on a tour of South Korea. When things didn't go as planned for their apartment, Ye-Jun offered to help by hosting them for a few days. The animal team discovered that Ye-Jun has a dog named Baram, and they haven't been living happily because of the political crisis dividing the two nations on the Korean Peninsula. This separated Ye-Jun and Baram from his sister, Ji, and her cat, Bo-Mi. Get this book to learn how this animal team tries to bring joy back into the lives of these loved ones.
I've always thought of children's books as boring and slow, but after reading this one, I've changed my mind. This book has everything that children or anyone of a different age group will enjoy. The author tells the story in a fun and exciting way, complete with pictures that allow the reader to follow the book's adventure. The book's cover and title depict the entire plot of the book. This book's pictures and the family tree made it easy for the reader to connect with several characters. This is one distinctive feature that distinguishes a children's book. The reader gets to see all of the characters and choose which one they like best.
While reading this book, I found no negative aspects, but my regret was not reading the first series of this book. I discovered that this is the eighth book in the Cat Detective series. I had to go back to book one to see how good the author is, and it was well worth it. I encourage anyone who wants to learn more about the adventures of these animals to read this book as well as the other series in the book.
This book was exceptionally well-edited, as I found no errors in it. Because of the aforementioned positive aspects, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. This is a book I would recommend to anyone who enjoys children's books and mystery novels.
