Do your children like unicorns, and do they like rhymes? Well, you are in luck because Unicorns Know Magic by Charles Adkins has a mixture of both rhymes and unicorns. I have not met a child yet who does not like unicorns, so I am sure any child would enjoy this book. It is filled with colorful drawings and easy-to-read words for young children.

It is a story about four unicorns who move in next door to two children. They were excited to meet them and see all the tricks the unicorns could do. The most exciting thing was that they could fly. They took the children on their backs and flew to extraordinary places. They even got to meet someone special in London. Can you guess who it is?

Afterward, they carried the unicorns to school to meet their friends and teacher, who were profoundly impressed by their excellent reading skills. These are just some of the adventures they went on together. You can read this book to enjoy the fun and see where else the unicorns took them.

I enjoyed reading this book, even though I am an adult. It was so much fun to read that I reread it to my children, ages one and six, and they loved it. The illustrations were very bright and colorful, which I am confident will capture the attention of any child who reads this book. The rhymes used were catchy and fun to read.

The only negative aspect was that I found the text too small for children to read. I had to enlarge the pages to see the font clearly on my computer. However, it was exceptionally well-edited and a fun way to teach children lessons. One of the lessons your child can learn from this book is how to be helpful. When the unicorns visited the children's home after lunch, they helped with the chores.

Hence, the positives of the book outweighed the negatives, which were not enough for me to deduct a star. Therefore, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend parents get this book for children ages 6 to 10 and read it to their younger ones.
