Review of Bandit Finds A Home
Bandit is a lovely puppy that has had a good time eating whatever food he likes and playing with his siblings. As he gets bigger, Bandit is taken away to Little Meadow Farm by an old man called Uncle Bill. Bandit's journey to the farm is not that rosy, but there are a lot of surprises and warmth waiting for him there.
This is quite a simple yet intriguing children's story. It got my attention right from the beginning. This was basically due to the fluid narration, beautiful illustrations, and uninterrupted reading occasioned by the error-free text.
Hall did well with the character development, especially for the protagonist, Bandit. I like the character of Bandit. True, he might get up to some mischief, but he is sure adventurous and gets along easily with people. Other characters like Uncle Hill, Ruby, and Netty also have amazing personalities.
Children can expect to meet some elements of surprise in this story, especially as to where Uncle Bill is taking Bandit, the challenges that emerged during the travel, and what life holds for Bandit in his new home. They should also want to know who Ruby is and what sweet adventures she will embark on with Bandit.
J.A. Hall, the author of this book, did a great job here, and I enjoyed reading her work. Hall owns a farm called Little Meadow Farm, and it's great to see how she incorporated that into this story. I am happy to note that this book was thoroughly edited. I did not find any grammatical errors in it.
I don't have any negative issues with this children's story. Therefore, I rate Bandit Finds a Home five out of five stars. I did this because of the aforementioned advantages. There is no reason to remove any stars from the rating. I recommend this storybook to readers ages five to twelve. I believe they will enjoy this story and find the characters of Bandit, Netty, and Ruby fascinating.
