Review of Unicorns Know Magic
One night, while looking out of their window, two kids saw four unicorns flying by. Filled with awe, they looked at those beautiful, mystical creatures as they entered the house next to theirs. Little did they know that soon they would become friends with their new neighbors, and an adventure would begin. When the kids approach the unicorns, would they be welcome? Would they be offered some free rides? Read this adorable book, Unicorns Know Magic, to find out. Also, what were the unicorns doing at school?
This book has been an enjoyable read. I loved the cute illustrations and the straightforward and poetic approach of the writer. It is a short book, but the showcased concept of unicorns is pretty unique and kept me hooked throughout the pages. Everything from talking unicorns and their grace, emotions, knowledge, and skills to the children and the song they wrote for their friends made it a heartwarming read. Although at some points, I felt like the author forced some rhymes, it didn't hamper my experience.
There is nothing that I disliked about this book, Unicorns Know Magic, written by Charles T. Adkins and illustrated by Ros Webb. It is the first book in The Unicorns trilogy. I enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to reading the other two books of the series.
As I could only find one editorial error in this book, I can say that it has gone through professional editing. Based on all the things mentioned above that I felt about this book, Unicorns Know Magic, I give it a well-deserved rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend this book to all animal and fantasy lovers. People of all age groups, who have a soft corner for light reads, would love this book. Children, especially pre-teens and younger, are going to enjoy the cute illustrations that these pages hold.
