Review of Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids
Emma's dreams inspired this anthology of Christian fiction. When she is asleep, Emma experiences vivid visions of heaven and hell. When she tells mommy and daddy, the family sits down together. Emma tells her parents that she has dreamed about Satan, God, Jesus, and angels. Emma's younger sister Bella is particularly excited to hear Emma's stories. How does Emma know which is God and Jesus? Heaven's inhabitants keep busy, but how? Are hell and Satan as horrible as we have been told? Read Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul and find the answers to all these questions and lots more!
Jemima and Arvind Paul have two young daughters, Emma and Bella, and a baby daughter. They work hard to bring their daughters up in the Christian faith. When their eldest daughter, eight-year-old Emma, starts having dreams revolving around heaven and hell, they decide to share these stories in Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids. They hope it will help young children understand Christianity and the differences between heaven and hell in a simple way.
The Pauls have added colorful pictures, which enhance the book. My toddler granddaughter loved looking at them; they would appeal to younger children. The stories are both entertaining and insightful. The writing style is appropriate for toddlers and infant school children and is warm and engaging. At the bottom of some pages is information for adults on where to find similar stories in the Bible. This was a helpful addition for Christian grandparents, parents, and teachers.
I recommend that Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids be read to toddlers who enjoy hearing the stories and looking at the illustrations. School-aged children will be able to read the books to themselves but would engage with the stories more if an adult is available to discuss the stories with them. The stories are more appropriate for children raised in the Christian faith.
I want to rate Snatched Up to heaven for Kids by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul 5 out of 5 stars. I have already listened to the Audiobook, and I was looking forward to seeing the illustrations and reading the stories to my granddaughter. I was not disappointed and did not find anything to dislike about this book. The proofreading and editing are perfect, and I found no spelling or grammar errors. This is an entertaining anthology of short stories which will educate young children about the Christian religion.
