I’m certain many people believe they are capable of producing a successful children’s book. However, very few of those people do it. I am very glad the children of today have books like Unicorns Know Magic by Charles Adkins. It is very creative, and the author seems to know exactly what topics young children would be interested in.

This book is about a pair of siblings who are lucky enough to have four beautiful unicorns move in next door to them. Throughout the book, the audience sees the children and unicorns embark on many fun adventures and activities. Collectively, they visit various countries where they learn about new foods and languages. This, I think, is a great book for kids.

I believe the illustrator of this book, Ros Webb, did a fantastic job with the images included. They all resembled beautiful watercolor paintings that I believe kids would love to look at. I think it was a clever idea to include them in the book as kids will be entertained while flipping through all of them.

It is so great the author included a few different countries and cultures, as well as a few words in French, in the book. This will undoubtedly expose the children who read this book to some things they have yet to learn about and make them interested in it. I can’t think of any negative points to make about this book as I feel like it is a great example of what a children’s book should be.

I think this was an adorable book. While I am very obviously not the target audience for it, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the siblings and their adventures with their new unicorn friends. It is so great the author included a few different countries and cultures, as well as a few words in French, in the book. The words were very direct and easy to understand, and the book was exceptionally well-edited. I think something like this book will encourage kids to expand their imaginations. I would happily read this book to any children in my life. For the various reasons mentioned above, I happily rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I would enthusiastically recommend this book to parents who are seeking a sweet and fun story to read to or with their toddlers. The story is not only very cute, but it also shows two siblings that get along and can play nicely together. It also encourages good table manners, kindness, and cleaning up after yourself.
