This well written book with illustrations have an admirable message about the effects of hearing loss that is geared toward children. It's a simple straightforward book that will appeal to kids who are dealing with a medical condition. It talks of a fictional elephant who loses his hearing and seeks help. He ends up with a friend named Spider, who wants to help him further understand his ailment and how to fix it. This book takes the topic of deafness and converts it into a friendly book for children. Nice review.

The book seems so interesting. It is difficult for an adult person to accept such a diagnosis but it it is way more difficult to explain everything to a child, to make him understand that he will no longer hear things around him.
