The reviewer did a great review on a book that fills a very important gap. This is for children who have a hearing loss so they are more able to understand what caused their loss and what they can do about it as choices are explored. This opens the door on a disability that takes it into the understood from the dark secret room. It should also be used to make all children aware so they can be more helpful and understanding rather than possibly engaging in bullying through ignorance.

I know a few dear kids who find it difficult to communicate with those around them, and I sometimes wonder what that phase of life would be like. Maybe this book could help those kids in some way.

I love children's books like this that teach children how to manage or overcome their challenges. Maybe children would learn how the spider and Eddie the elephant communicated. Congratulations on BOTD!

I read this to my toddler, and he couldn't stop laughing at the elephant with 1 ear, definitely a cute book, I wish it transferred well to my device (through kindle) so that I could see the words and pictures at the same time, otherwise, great.

Deafness or loss of hearing ability is a salient issue to be handled with a careful scrutiny especially when children are the victims. Great review!

This is a really good book for a family that has a child that has hearing loss, it can help them navigate everything that it all entails. I also like that it's in a children's book format because that makes it easier for the family to communicate with the child, any other children and extended members. Great job.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your review of "Eddie the Elephant's Magical Ear" by Suzanne Picerno, MA, MBA. It's wonderful to see a children's book that addresses the topic of hearing loss with such care and thoughtfulness. The fact that the author tailored the story to offer children more knowledge and support on managing this medical condition is truly commendable.
The encounter and conversation between Eddie and the spider seem to be well thought out. Through their interaction, children can learn about the possible causes of hearing loss, the use of medical gadgets to manage the condition, and the importance of support systems. The illustrations, done by the author and M. Waseem, are an added bonus, enhancing the understanding of the story and its message.
Sincerely,
Sondang :tiphat:
