Toni the Superhero is a children's picture book written by R. D. Base. The story centers on the character Toni, whose hobbies are explored in the book.

Toni is an amazing superhero child. The illustrations show him flying in the sky using his superpowers. Besides that, Toni has hobbies such as reading, drawing, playing, swimming, and many more. At their home, Toni is an obedient child because he helps with house chores like sweeping and dusting. The pictures show how their home is neat and orderly. Being a superhero, he has a lot to do. What else does Toni do? Does he have spare time to eat and rest?

I like the book's illustrations because of their excellent quality. They also put more stress on Toni's activities, making readers visualize the events. For example, mere words like "Toni is a superhero" wouldn't have had a significant impact without the illustrations showing Toni in a costume flying. For that reason, children will enjoy the book and understand it easily. Furthermore, Toni's qualities will be a positive inspiration to children. His skills, such as singing, swimming, and reading, will inspire children to emulate him and improve in those areas after a while.

Another appealing aspect of this book is how it is short and precise. The author used simple sentences that are easy for children to learn to read. On the other hand, the book's length is perfect for young readers because it is within their concentration range. The book is also educational for young people. For example, Toni's good manners, such as helping with home chores, will significantly impact children's behaviors. I encountered no negatives about this book or disliked anything in it. In addition, its editors did an exceptional job.

Therefore, I rate Toni the Superhero 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend the book to children learning to read.
