Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a captivating story of an eight-year-old girl named Emma who was so lucky that she gets to traverse through heaven and meet Jesus every night through her dreams. But these dreams may not just be dreams. What did she see in heaven? Is there really a hell? And what did Jesus tell little Emma about heaven and hell?

The authors have done an outstanding job of including and explaining complex themes of perceived unfairness in rewards given by God, the role of faith, and the virtue of repentance. Truly these themes can sometimes even be complex for an adult to understand, thus more so difficult to explain to a child. Yet, the authors address these confusions without just swiping them under the rug. Apart from that, every little detail referenced from the Bible is at the bottom right side of the pages. They were handy to google search the verses.

Another aspect that I enjoyed was the illustrations. They supported the narrative very well and added a cute aesthetic to the reading experience. Although there were enough pictures, the child in me needed more drawings.

The editing was perfect. There were zero hindrances of grammatical or typographical errors. The language was also simple and toddler friendly. Absolutely nothing to list as negative for this book. Hence, I will rate this book a well-deserving 5 out of 5 stars.

If you are a parent and often find yourself out of words to answer your child's curiosity about God with questions like 'why God rewards some people with bigger things and other smaller things?' then this book is for you. Or if you are a parent wanting to educate your child more about the Christian faith, then the book is for you too. I sure did increase my knowledge, especially on the details from the Book of Revelation. It will be a treat to read to your kids.

Moreover, toddlers learning to read would have fun with this one. This book could also be a fun addition to the catechism syllabus for children. Hence I would suggest this book for catechism teachers as well.
