Inca is a detective. She is one of the best in the business. That is evidenced by the many cases she has solved and the many people she has rescued. She had another case on her hands. This time, she was tasked with rescuing someone from North Korea. Inca knew how dangerous this mission could be, but she was not one to back down from a challenge. Will she successfully deliver the package she was sent to fetch? What about her teammates? Will they be brave enough to follow her into a land known for its ruthlessness in dealing with trespassers?

R.F. Kristi has been consistent in giving me books I love. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is no different. I liked how daring the adventures are in the story. I did not expect my heart to race at any point because it is a book for young readers. The author proved that it being just that does not mean it will not come loaded with lots of actions. That is what I liked most in Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula. Its actions were strong and kept me praying for the characters. I love Inca and her bravery, but at some point, I began thinking that my heart could not take the drama I knew would come.

I also loved the illustrations that populated the pages of this book. They were colorful and told the story the author wrote about in their own way. Kudos to whoever is responsible for drawing those pictures. Apart from those two, the storyline was developed properly. That also contributed to my liking the book.

I was not surprised that I enjoyed reading this book. I have enjoyed reading all the other books Inca appeared in. In fact, this is my favorite one. R.F. Kristi outdid herself here. The storyline was beautiful and enchanting. It was also edited professionally. I did not dislike anything in Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula. Since I cannot say that I saw any negative features in this book, I have decided to rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

Inca's adventure will leave you panting and crying for relief. If you've read any of R.F. Kristi's books on Inca’s adventures, I promise you that you will love this one. If you have never read this author's book, and you like books that show cats doing jobs that are out of the ordinary, I recommend this book to you.
