Review of Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids
Have you ever tried to teach the concept of heaven and hell to young children? If yes, then you are probably aware that it becomes a little tricky to explain the details to young minds while keeping them interested and engaged at the same time. Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a book that aims to teach the concept and existence of heaven and hell to kids in a fun and effective manner.
The story is about an eight-year-old girl Emma and her younger sister Bella, who live with their parents and a little sister. Their parents regularly read the Bible to their children so that they can follow the teachings of their religion consciously. One night, Emma has an unusual but beautiful dream about heaven. When she wakes up, she tells her parents and sister, Bella. The parents explain to the girls that Emma has had a vision from God through this dream. From then onwards, she regularly has these visions where she is taken to heaven in her dreams, along with Bella. But what happens when one night, instead of visiting heaven, Emma is made to visit hell in her dream? Grab this book to find out about both of her magical experiences and read how beautifully the parents explain the girls, each and every detail regarding her dreams in reference to the Holy Bible.
This book is carefully written to instill the love for religion in children. I especially loved the aesthetic of the book that will attract any child. Also, there are specific headings to highlight the main events encountered by the girl in her dreams. With wonderful illustrations and easy vocabulary, reading this book will become a fun experience for you and your kids while they absorb these reality-based facts about the afterlife. On top of that, it will encourage them to do good deeds in life and also advise their peers to do so.
I found nothing to hate about the book. However, it would have helped the parents in making a choice for their children if the book contained a statement indicating that it is purely and strictly based on Christian beliefs. Nevertheless, the book is filled with many messages, such as:
a) teach love for God to the children
b) practice good deeds
c) maintain a healthy family bond
d) an example of how parents should believe their children in the little things they tell and guide them accordingly. Therefore, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. Furthermore, I did not come across any errors in the written content. The book has received professional editing.
I recommend this book to parents and teachers who are dedicated to educating children about religion, obedience, and moral values. I also recommend it to Christian kids who can read independently as the language used in the book is very clear and easy to understand.
