Review of Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids
What would you do or say if you were a parent and your child told you she had dreams of visiting heaven and meeting God and Jesus? Would you believe her and listen to what she said, or would you dismiss her dreams as mere imaginations? Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids is a book by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul. They are the parents of Emma and Bella. Emma has dreams of visiting heaven with her sister and recounts those dreams to her family. She describes what it was like to be in heaven, what people do there, and even mentions some Biblical figures she saw there. Examples from the Bible stories include Noah and Esther. She also recounts dreams of a different place, namely, hell. She compares the two, and because she wants everyone to go to heaven, she decides to spread this message to everyone.
I appreciate that this book is written from the perspective of a young child so that kids can understand the messages. I also like Emma’s personality. She is well-behaved and a vibrant young girl. She shares her dreams about heaven with her family, and her parents encourage them to read God’s word. The book is in simple language that readers can understand. I like that the word of God is brought out strongly in the book and that young children reading the book will know about God and heaven. The girls' relationship with their parents is admirable, and I like how Paul and Jemima encourage them with the word of God. Emma and Bella are curious about heaven and ask their parents lots of questions. Their parents, in turn, give the best answers possible and even look for clarifications in the Bible. I liked the Christian values shared in the book that children can emulate and grow up to be positive people in society. I like the book’s colorful drawings. The drawings show some of Emma’s dreams as she and Bella visit Jesus in heaven. It shows what heaven looks like—the angels, God, Jesus, and all the fun activities people in heaven do.
I did not find any flaw in the book.
I rate this book five out of five stars. The book is free of any errors and has been exceptionally well-edited.
I recommend this book to young Christian children as it has themes about Christian values and the word of God.
