Stories about animals always excite children. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is a children's book that teaches core values like humility, loyalty, honesty, and obedience. Inca, a cat detective, and her team are at the center of the action in this thrilling novel.

Mom gets invited to be a judge in a cooking competition in South Korea. She accepts the invitation, and the team is excited because they plan on following her to South Korea. Mom makes a cheesecake with a new recipe. She plans to showcase it at the event. Will she succeed? To find out, grab a copy.

Despite being part of a sequel, this book can be read as a standalone book. Someone who hasn't read the previous book wouldn't have a problem reading this one. The writing was superb, and the words were easy to understand. The images used in the book helped me comprehend faster. It is only fitting as this is a children's book. They would love seeing the images, and the colors used would get their attention.

I liked reading about the team's adventures. They worked as a unit and had each other's backs when they needed to. Everyone's voice was heard, and it wasn't just Inca pulling the strings. It teaches readers how to work with people. Mom's character was my favorite. She was strong, kind, and caring. She took care of all the animals and ensured their happiness.

I found nothing negative about the book. Hence, I have no suggestions on how it could get better. I happily give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. The storyline was great and entertaining. I found some errors in the book, which indicates that it was well-edited. I recommend this book to young children who love reading stories about animals and adventures.
