I love reading books that are part of a sequel, and this one did not disappoint. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is the ninth book in the series. It follows Inca, the cat, and the team of detectives. After their previous mission, they return from Sri Lanka and are greeted with good news. Their humanoid mom, Missy, has been invited to be a judge at a cooking competition in South Korea. The event is to bolster the relationship between North Korea and South Korea. Will Missy be a good judge? Will the event be successful? Grab a copy to find out.

This book is educational as it teaches readers about history. I learned the reason why South Korea and North Korea separated. The author explained the rules surrounding the peace agreement between both countries. I like that the explanations were simple to enable children to understand while reading. The DMZ was also explained in a way that was easy to understand.

The team's ability to think outside the box made them good detectives. They were also quick thinkers and didn't need too much time to come up with an effective plan. I like how they all knew their roles and played them well. Their teamwork made them unbeatable. I also like how they trusted and took care of each other. It shows they were raised well by their humanoid mother.

I found a flaw in this book. The names of the animals were confusing. They were just too many to keep track of. However, this doesn't make the book less fun to read. This book teaches readers about teamwork, hard work, unity, trust, and resilience. If all the children are inculcated with these values at a young age, then the future will be bright.

I happily give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. My dislike is not a good enough reason to remove a star. The book was interesting to read, and the adventures added suspense. I found no errors in the book, which indicates that it was well-edited. I recommend this book to children who love reading books about adventures and animals.
