Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a children’s book about Christianity. It focuses on a little girl who dreams of going to Heaven and tells her parents and her sister what she sees every night. The little girl describes who and what she sees in Heaven and how Jesus showed her Hell. The parents in the book then help the girl understand what she saw compared to the lessons from the Bible.

I enjoyed reading this book. I think this is a creative way for parents to teach their children about Christianity without exclusively reading them passages from the Bible. The book quotes the Bible directly about what the little girl saw in her dream. I think this book is not just a book for religious believers. Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids is a good book for any family dealing with grief and loss. This book helps explain that there is a better place when we die and shows where they can imagine their loved ones going when they pass.

I have nothing negative to say about this book. This book appears to be written by a professional. I found no errors. If I were to change anything, I would want the wording of the child to feel more child-like. Sometimes the words and phrasing chosen seemed too mature for a young girl.

I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I am of the Roman Catholic faith and went to Bible school when I was young. Having a book like this to read at night or to read during Bible classes would have been very helpful in understanding the afterlife. My grandmother passed away when I was six years old. This book could have helped me visualize where she was in Heaven, a place of hope, love, and joy.

I recommend this book to any parent of the Christian faith trying to introduce the belief to their young children. The authors wrote the book in a format that young children can read individually. It may not be suited to anyone who does not believe in God and Jesus. They will not understand the true meaning behind this book. However, it may help young children cope with their grief of loved ones, regardless of belief.
