Family is everything. If you had the chance to stick your head out for a relative, I'm sure you'd go the extra mile to help that person, and even if that person is not family and you could still help them in some way, would you assist them and bring a smile to their faces? Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula, written by R.F. Kristi, follows the story of a Siberian feline and her efforts to help her mother and others around her.

Missy is invited to the Korean peninsula not only as a judge for a French cooking competition but also to present her new cheese. While On their flight to the Korean peninsula, they come across a threat to their trip, one that could sabotage the aim of their entire journey. When Missy's gets stolen, it's up to Inca, the cat detective, and her family to find it. The cats go on to befriend their tour guide and his dog, who seek to be reunited with their sister in North Korea.

I find the intelligence of pets quite intriguing. This book made me realize how valuable a pet could be. From the beginning of the journey, Inca and Forage were already looking out for their mother, which shows that family was very important to them, and I liked how the author wrote extensively on this. This book didn't just entertain me with a story; it also taught me about the Korean Peninsula, a place I have never witnessed. The author's choice of vocabulary to depict the Korean peninsula brought me closer to the location as I reveled in its culture.

I found nothing to dislike about this book; it was a great read for me, and I enjoyed every bit of it. The author did a great job writing this book, and I came to realize that this book is part of a series, so I am looking forward to reading the other books. I want to see what next is in store for Inca.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. There was nothing I hated about this book, so I see no reason why it doesn't deserve a perfect rating. There were no errors in this book; I could not find any at all. This indicates that this book was properly edited. I recommend this book for children but also for readers who enjoy books about animals with colorful pictures.
