Many animal characters will amaze you when you read Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi. In the book, a Siberian cat named Inca will be with Missy, a human mom, and they will go together to a patisserie competition held in South Korea. Inca has a team, and her team will also follow suit in the competition. I’m sure you’re wondering what kind of competition this is going to be. The competition is a cooking competition, and luckily for Missy, her newly created cheese will be presented at the competition. South Korea and North Korea will now have the opportunity to use this competition as a means to unite again. What are they uniting for? Was there a fight between North and South Korea before? You will learn about this and more when you finally settle down to read this book.

Joy knows no bounds, as Terrance, Solo, Cara, Terrance, Fromage, and all the others knew that they would be going to the event as well and that Missy would be one of the judges. Reading about this alone was so fulfilling. Inca is a detective, and her detective agency has a task to complete about a kitten, Bo-Mi. It was also fulfilling to read about how they went about doing this; I extremely enjoyed that. There are many books that the authors will tag as "children's books," but the content alone will show you that the book is not even fit for children. This book was not like that; it was easy to understand, simple, and clear, making it indeed fit for children to read. While the characters are a mixture of cats, dogs, and humans, it made the book more interesting. As I was reading, I was imagining the actions of the animal characters and wondering how amazing it would be if they actually happened in reality. The fact that I was even able to imagine this means the author did not slack in the writing of the book.

Because the book did not have any errors, because there were no profane words to make it unfit for children, and because it was extremely simple to understand, there was no way for me to identify that there was something negative about the book.

For the above reasons as well, I will be giving the book a rating of five out of five stars. The book was exceptionally edited.

The book is very suitable for children's readers, so I recommend it to young readers; their expectations are guaranteed.
