Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi is a children's book about solving the mystery of lost animals when on a different mission in a foreign country. Inca is the head of the animal detective group that solves the mysteries. The author lists the names of the animal detective in the group and gives a brief introduction for each, stating the roles they play. Missy, their human mother, was leaving for Korea after her invitation to a cooking competition. She goes with the animal detective group led by Inca. Once in Korea, they realize the host's family had a problem; Inca and her group decide to solve the mystery. Can she make the difference she wants? Read this book and find out.

I admire the author's idea of using animals as characters in this book. It is essential in children's books since it teaches children to love animals and see them as different, making them not mistreat them. The author motivates children to read the book by using pictures. Children are easily attracted to pictures, and since the book has many pictures of the characters, they will enjoy it. Finally, Inca and her detectives are wise and selfless since they decide to help a family they barely know. It makes children try to be as innovative as these animals and desire to help others, just like the animals. It helps teach children good virtues they should possess.

I enjoyed every part of the novel. The author's intention to mentor children is admirable; hence, nothing to dislike.

I rate Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi five out of five stars. The book was exceptionally edited since it had no typos or grammatical mistakes. It is the best children's book I have ever read. It sharpens children's minds while instilling good virtues. It helps children treat animals with respect and love them. The visual aids make the book enjoyable for children. I couldn't deduct a star with all these positive aspects; hence, the rating.

I recommend this book to children between five to thirteen years. It fits them because it contains a mystery they have to understand. Children between that age gap are old enough to understand that mystery.
