Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is a mesmerizing story that follows the journey of Inca, an intelligent Siberian cat, and her team of feline detectives. The story revolves around them as they embark on an adventure to protect their owner, Mom, from a scheming rival chef. Inca's human mom had been invited to be one of the judges at the French patisserie competition. Going there will also afford her the opportunity to introduce her own new cheese. As the group travels across South Korea, they face various obstacles yet remain committed to helping Ye-Jun, their kind tour guide, and his furry partner, Baram. Grab a copy of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula to see Inca and her team in action.

This book is taken to a whole new level of excellence due to the stunning illustrations by Jorge Valle. The cover of the book alone is gorgeous, showcasing the cute expressions on the cat, Inca, that instantly grab your attention. While reading the book, I found myself increasingly drawn to the illustrations. Each time a visually striking scene was described, I wished for a parallel illustration to portray it in full glory.

R.F. Kristi's storytelling is imaginative and rich, with vivid details that will captivate young readers. The characters are well-drawn and have strong personalities, making them relatable and likable. The plot is full of twists, keeping the readers on the edge of their seats throughout the journey. The book seeks to transport young readers into a world of intrigue and suspense, and it delivers on that front remarkably well.

This book presents a fascinating insight into the extensive history of Korea, providing comprehensive details of its culturally significant locations. The author sensitively touches upon the subject of the division between South and North Korea, highlighting the profound impact it has on the lives of citizens in both nations. Kristi's presentation of this knowledge is delivered in a fun and engaging manner, making it an accessible read that is guaranteed to kindle the curiosity of young readers.

Overall, this book is an exciting mystery story that explores the bond between humans and animals. It is packed with action, adventure, and danger, making it a must-read for anyone seeking an engaging and fun-filled reading experience. I recommend it to children above the age of five and also to adults who enjoy adventures and children's stories. There was nothing about the book that I disliked. It was exceptionally well edited and deserves a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
