If you have pets, Inca and her team will make you love and appreciate them even more, and if you don't, they'll make you desire to own one, preferably an adorable little cat. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula, written by R.F. Kristi, is the eighth installment in the Inca Cat Detective series, which can be read as a standalone.

In this book, we find Inca and her furry siblings, who are yet to settle down from their last trip to Sri Lanka, join their humanoid mom, Missy, on another trip to faraway Korea, where Le Cordon Bleu invited her as a judge at a patisserie competition between North and South Korean chefs and also to showcase her new cheese. Inca, a very clever Siberian cat who can't stay still when something goes wrong, finds mysteries and puzzles to solve with his team. And we can read about the beautiful adventures they participated in, from the recovery of Missy's missing cheese to the reunion of their tour guide Ye-Jun and his sister Ji, among other things. Read this excellent book to know if Inca and her siblings succeeded in their mission.

I enjoyed reading the book for a variety of reasons. Firstly, although Cat Detective in the Korean Peninsula is a children's book, its storyline, and plot are in the understanding of even adults. I won't fail to add that Kristi did a commendable job in her vivid description of Korea as children who haven't been to Seoul and other places described in this book can visit just by reading her words. The language of this book, the colorful illustrations, the catchy cover page, and the writing style and font used in this book makes this book very suitable for its target audience. In addition, I liked the fact that this book is very educational and contains many moral lessons that children can learn from. This book had no uninteresting part, and I enjoyed learning about Korean culture.

However, this book had nothing to dislike, and I would love to rate it 5 out of 5 stars for its excellent structure and fantastic plot. I found no errors when reading it, so I would say that it was exceptionally well-edited.

I recommend this book, particularly to children aged 5 to 12. The plot of this book is suitable for adults. I recommend reading the book at bedtime or as a family so parents and their children can read it.
