Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure is an enjoyable and inspiring book for children. Donny and Grace Miller are two brave children who moved to California from Wichita in order to live with their grandparents. Their parents moved to Kenya in order to help with a crisis that had occurred. This book documents Donny and Grace’s adventures in California with their grandparents.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I found myself smiling often when reading the inspiring and heartfelt plot. I particularly enjoyed reading about Donny Miller’s resilient attitude when approaching difficulties in life. Donny Miler is 5 years old in the book and has Down syndrome. It was a pleasure to read about the tender moments when he overcame hurdles throughout the book. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed reading about how Grace Miller, although she was only 10, quickly adapted and thrived in her new setting with her grandparents.

I found this book to be ambitious and entertaining for a book targeted at children. I was happy to see such an inclusive and diverse host of characters. I am glad to see such a positive portrayal of a person with Down syndrome, Donny, in this book, and it was a great discussion point with my children when we discussed how we could all help people less fortunate than us. I found the entire book to be an interesting template for debate and discussion. The book dealt with serious themes such as disability and bullying in a great manner. I can only congratulate the author for such a beautifully written book. The characters throughout were excellently written and would not have felt out of place in a bestseller. I found this book to be excellent in quality overall, especially for a book targeted at children.

I could find nothing in this book that I did not enjoy. The quality of the book, including the editing, was all perfect, and I could find no mistakes. Both I, and my children thoroughly enjoyed the discussions we had surrounding the plot of the book.

I happily rate this book five out of five stars. I found the plot surprisingly interesting as an adult reader, and I was glad that my children also shared the same enjoyment I had.

This book was great not only as a beautiful story but also as a teaching aid for my children. Thanks to this book, I was able to further teach my children about serious topics such as bullying and the best ways to deal with it. This book provides valuable lessons for all!

The fact that Donny and Mary Grace's parents left them behind, for a quest in Africa, shows the level of dedication they put in whatever they do.
Great job on this amazing review.
