Fromage became frantic when Missy's coveted cheese, "Crème de la Crème," went missing upon their arrival at Incheon Airport. Fromage always enjoyed boasting about the cheese, as it was his greatest delight. At that time, Inca, the detective cat, and her companions from the Inca and Company Detective Agency had accompanied Missy to a cooking competition in Korea, where she was invited to be one of the judges. She was also planning to present the cheese during the same competition—the very cheese that had disappeared. The group suspected that the mischievous chef and Missy's rival, Enzo, had stolen the cheese, as they had spotted him on the plane wearing a mischievous smirk. The cheese held great significance for Missy, and the trip to Korea would be ruined without it. Would Inca and her friends be able to find the cheese? Discover the answer in Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi.

This book was a clever, humorous, and enjoyable tale about a group of cats who liked having fun and solving mysteries together. They were previously on an adventure in Sri Lanka, and they were now setting off for another escapade in Korea. The group, led by Inca, consisted of cats (Fromage, Cara, Monk, and Charlotte) and dogs (Terrance and Polo). They all resided with Missy, except for Terrance, who belonged to Solo, one of Missy's friends. Monk and Polo were also part of the team. What I particularly loved was how Inca and her friends formed a sassy, likable, and fun-loving team of "furry friends." Each had their own peculiarities and unique personalities that were not only amusing but also endearing. I chuckled when Inca teased Fromage about his tendency to boast, especially when she herself bragged about being related to Siberian tigers.

The plot of the book was another standout element. I appreciated how well the suspense was maintained throughout. From the search for Missy's missing cheese to the endeavor of helping Baram, their tour guide's dog, reunite with his cat friend, Bo-Ming, there wasn't a dull moment in this story. I couldn't find any negative aspects worth mentioning. Therefore, I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend it to teenagers who enjoy animal mystery books. In my opinion, the book has been excellently edited.
