While Mr. Pinski was delivering a lecture to the children, Katie overheard the oak tree communicating with her from the nearby window. She informed Mr. Pinski about the oak tree's message, which caused all the kids to burst into laughter. Once school was over, Katie and her friend Amy walked home together. Amy informed Katie that other kids considered her eccentric for spending time with her. At home, Katie could also sense her cat Sasha trying to alert her about an impending danger related to the earth, although she couldn't fully comprehend the cat's message.

Suddenly, the earth began to tremble and shake, causing Katie to fall through a crack and find herself in a cave, where she encountered an extraterrestrial named Za. Za revealed to Katie that they were trapped between planets. With the help of a mysterious woman named Diana, Katie and Za managed to escape the cave. Shortly thereafter, Za's guardian approached them and explained that Za had to accompany Katie on a quest, and they wouldn't be able to return home until the mission was completed. Did Za and Katie succeed in their mission? And did Katie ever manage to find her way back home? To uncover the answers, one can delve into Ellen Dee Davidson's book, WIND.

Despite being aimed at children, this book instantly captivated me from the opening chapter. The suspense throughout the story kept me engaged, as the unpredictable ending was impossible to foresee. My curiosity pushed me to continue reading, eager to discover the story's conclusion. I greatly admired the supportive dynamic between Za and Katie during their journey, and it made me realize the significance of cooperation when embarking on a mission with a partner.

I found no fault with any aspect of this book. The characters were exceptionally well-developed, and the plot was engrossing. Ellen Dee Davidson's WIND is an entertaining and inspiring book that held my interest from beginning to end. I unequivocally give it a 5 out of 5 star rating. The book is meticulously edited, as I didn't come across any grammatical errors.

I highly recommend this book for children aged seven and above. It is easily understandable, and they will greatly benefit from its valuable moral lessons.
