The book “Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids" is a marvelously and accurately written take on what to expect for those who believe and love our Lord Jesus Christ. It takes you on a journey through the perspective of a child’s dream to heaven and brings the Holy Scriptures to life. I really like that the parents facilitate an environment for their children to come and discuss their questions and concerns when it comes to the Word of God. Even when the child poses a question that requires a more accurate response, the dad says that, excuses himself, retrieves his Bible and proceed to find the scripture that will answer his daughter’s question. I have always believed that parents, when sharing scriptures, should be able to point it out in the Bible and the dad did just that.
While the book narrows in on the dreams of Emma, her dreams include that of her sister, Bella, who enthusiastically clings to Emma’s every word while learning the Word of God for herself. In her dream Emma experiences everything that the scripture talks about. I was glad to see that while the book showed Emma all of the wonderful things that God has promised to his people are real, it also depicts what will happen to those who do not believe in Jesus and who continues to follow the devil. While it was scary for Emma, her parents were there to have the difficult conversation most do not want to have, that hell is real and there will be those who unfortunately end up there although that is not what God wants.
In retrospect, this book brings the scriptures of the Holy Bible to life for children and provide insight to the Word of God with clarity, purpose, and vision. It is a must have for Christian households, Sunday School lessons, podcasts and overall, Christians everywhere. This would be great as a children’s movie. Beautifully written! Jemima and Arvind Paul provide scripture with vivid illustration so that children can understand it. I especially like that the scriptures were listed at the bottom of each page for reference. I rate this a 5 out of 5. Great read!
