The book "Snatched up to Heaven for Kids" by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul It is indeed a wonderful insightful book. It tells a beautiful story of a young girl Emma who has a dream and is taken to Heaven. In Heaven, she is shown so many wonderful things and even meets Jesus. Each time she dreams the following day she gets to explain the dream to her parents and sister Bella. Emma's parents get to back her up by reading her what the bible says or what is written about heaven in the bible. She not only gets to experience Heaven but also she is taken to hell and shown what hell looks like and even why the people are there.
The book is defiantly a good read and I will rate it 5/5. First, it has good illustrations and the language used is simple and clear to the intended reader. Also, no foul language has been used. I must say I also found the bible references quite educative since one can refer if not sure about an issue quoted.
Having said that, It brings out a picture of a loving Christian family. The parents have brought up the children in understanding the ways of God and not only that, they have also demonstrated that they take time to teach Emma and Bella the word of God. The parents are caring because when Emma tells them of her dream they do not brush her aside. Instead, they take time to listen and even explain further where she has questions. By instilling good values in their children; they have shown them how a Christian should live. These values have been taken up by Emma because we see when she was explaining her dream to the family, Bella keeps asking questions and Emma patiently answers her back.
I would recommend this book to parents and children as well giving it a rating of 4/4 The language used is easy to understand and also very precise and clear. There are no typos. There is no repetition of the story and it flows from the start to the last page.
It also brings out the emotions. As you read you can feel Emma's and Bella's excitement each time Emma is explaining her dreams. Even when she is taken to hell the emotion she experienced can be felt.
In conclusion, the lessons learned are that heaven and hell are real and the choices we make in life have consequences, but if we follow God He is ready to forgive us and we will enjoy eternal life in heaven.
