Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventures by Catherine Anna Pepe tells about the family of the Millers. The narrative opens at a zoo when the lastborn of the family, Donny Miller, who had Down syndrome, went missing while this family was having a nice time. Donny was just five years old. His ten-year-old sister, Mary Grace, was later able to detect where he was. Some days later, Mr. and Mrs. Miller announced to their children the task assigned to them, which demanded that the couple move to Kenya, Africa, as missionaries for two years.

The children were to relocate from Wichita to California to be with Grandma Cathy and Papa Steve. Initially, Mary Grace was sore and bitter about the whole news. Donny, who didn't find it a bad idea, tried to console his sister. Mary Grace and her brother later moved to California to stay with their grandparents. Grab a copy of this book to see how adapting to a new environment was hard for the siblings.

I like a lot of aspects of this book. Indeed, this is a wonderful piece of artwork. I appreciate the author's writing style. I appreciate the author's work. The narrative had a lot of potential, which the author executed beautifully. The story was more like a movie. I enjoyed every bit of it. Though this is more of a children's book, it's not a bad recommendation for an adult. The storyline is very relatable, and the author's choice of words was the best way to put this work together. I really appreciate Mary Grace's character because the narrative appears very lively, mostly because of her. How she considers her brother's condition, how she wants her parents to remain with them, and how she responded to the letters she received

I dislike no aspect of this book. I also didn't notice any errors while reading this book, which suggests that it was exceptionally well-edited.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to adults who accommodate children who are not theirs because this book will definitely help them understand that adapting to a new environment is not all fun. I also recommend this book to anyone, especially children who have moved into a new environment, so they'll know what to expect and how to deal with such issues.
