Charles T. Adkins' 'Unicorns Know Magic' unfolds as a charming children's tale, introducing us to four captivating unicorns who become next-door neighbours to the main character and his sister. Abby, Georgia, Bitsy, and Chase, the unicorns, each possess extraordinary talents: Abby's juggling prowess, Georgia's skilful skating, Bitsy's endless headstands, and Chase's magical guitar melodies. However, their most enchanting quality lies in their ability to take flight and perform wondrous Magic. The story weaves the children's growing friendship with these unicorns into thrilling adventures, creating a delightful narrative brimming with enchantment and wonder.

The true gem of this storybook lies in its vivid and vibrant illustrations. These images seamlessly blend bright and whimsical colours, guaranteeing to captivate the young reader's gaze. Almost every page comes alive with a picture vividly portraying the unfolding narrative. A prime example is when our characters journey to Paris and find themselves face-to-face with the city's guards; the accompanying illustration serves as a visual aid, aiding children in comprehending and immersing themselves in the storyline. These splendid illustrations enhance the storytelling experience, making it easier for young readers to engage with and fully embrace the enchanting world within the pages.

Furthermore, the storybook's admirable feature lies in its use of straightforward and uncomplicated language. The author skillfully incorporates rhyming elements, ensuring young readers navigate the storyline effortlessly. Beyond its entertainment, the tale also imparts valuable life lessons, particularly the significance of cleanliness and orderliness. The unicorns exemplify this by taking responsibility for maintaining their surroundings, offering an exemplary study for young readers to embrace.

Nevertheless, there are a couple of drawbacks to note in this storybook. Firstly, the text size can be rather petite, posing occasional readability challenges. Secondly, the story's young protagonists remain unnamed, identified only as 'my sister and I' from the main character's viewpoint. However, despite these minor imperfections, I wholeheartedly endorse this storybook and assign it a flawless 5 out of 5 stars rating. Its meticulous editing ensures an error-free experience, making it an exceptional read.

Unicorns Know Magic caters perfectly to children aged 5 to 10. While a five-year-old can enjoy this storybook independently, parents can also relish reading it aloud to younger children. This book is an excellent choice for those searching for a captivating and brief read to while away the time.

This book would interest a lot of children. The unicorns in the story, the little adventure in it, the colorful easy-to-draw pictures, and the short poem-like descriptions all make this book attractive to children.
