Many people may find it difficult to let go of familiar things because most people are resistant to change. Mary Grace's reaction was affected by her innate dislike of change when her parents told her they were leaving their cherished home in Wichita, Kansas.
 
Donny's family is in the Wichita Zoo when the narrative starts, and when Donny disappears, everyone becomes extremely alarmed. In due course, Mary Grace, his sister, locates him. They learn later that their parents had been called to serve as missionaries in Kenya. Thus, the siblings will be staying with their grandparents in California for the following two years. Their move to California becomes the main conflict, although Mary Grace fights against this transition. Their adjustment to their new classmates, though, causes them conflict. Read Catherine A. I was engrossed in this book in numerous ways. First, Pepe's extraordinary storytelling talent emerges across the entire book, demonstrating her great writing skills. The story's younger target audience will have little trouble following it because of its flawless structure. I truly enjoyed how the author portrayed the places and characters. The language strikes a balance between being simple enough for kids to understand and interesting enough to keep adult readers interested. The character development is also absolutely amazing.
 
There’s nothing about this book that I dislike. And I’ll give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. Despite having Down syndrome, Donny exudes joy and vigor, contagiously sharing his excitement. Similarly, Mary Grace, a charming young lady with a great sense of humor, displays her deductive abilities and manages her conflicts with her parents with ease. I didn’t find any errors while reading. The book is exceptionally well edited.
 
Children over the age of eight should read this book, in my opinion. They'll take pleasure in it and gain knowledge from it. This book has a lot to teach both parents and teachers.
