The story "Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventures" is actually a true event. It was written by Catherine Anna Pepe. This story is really interesting to read and I liked it very much seriously. It is an amazing and mysterious book for children. In this story, the main mystery involves bullying in school, that mystery is solved by Mary Grace and the help of Grandma Gang and the teachers. The story's main characters are Donny and Mary Grace, who is his sister. Donny is a 5-year-old boy who has Down syndrome. When Donny was born, the doctor said that he would never have a "normal" life like others. And doctor also recommended that put Donny into an institution or a special home for what he was left of his life. Donny's parents raise him with their three other children with care and love. One day, their parents leave Wichita and they move to Africa for 2 years. And they decide to send Mary Grace and Donny to California to their Grandma Cathy and Papa Steve's house for two years. That time, Mary Grace was feeling very sad but Donny was very excited about meeting California. After that, they go to California and spend time at their Grandma's house.
I think this book would help other children to solving a mystery. In this book my favourite part is that Mary Grace's shoebox idea helping to solve a mystery. And another one is Mary Grace's kindness towards Tiffany Johnson and Justin Green for their harsh actions. In this story, I don't like one thing that is Justin's rude behaviour saying Donny is retard.
This book has amazingly flawless editing. It is extremely rare for a book to not have even a single typo. I think this book is perfect and has not changed to make it even better.
I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. Because in this story, all single details are written without shortcuts.
