Who all loves dog characters in books?

Post by K_Kaori »

My favorite dog character is Timmy (Timothy) from the book series The Famous Five. I always love to read a book that has a pet character with the protagonist. Sometimes you connect more to canines than humans and learning few of their characteristics through a book really makes the entire narrative interesting. In short, I love dog characters! :lol2: :animals-dogrun:

I love dog characters!! Timmy is my favorite dog as well, and Buster (from "The Five Find-Outers") is second. I even named my dog Buster when I was a kid. I also love Lassie (from Lassie go home). :)

I love animal characters in general. Animal characters are also great for younger children as well. In regards to simply dogs, they are always great characters to have. A lot of children have dogs in their homes so it is great for them to read about something that they see in their lives everyday.

Dog characters are always so charming! There are so many I loved as a kid. When I was little, I loved Clifford. As I got a bit older I started reading a series called Hank the Cowdog which I absolutely loved. It is about a dog who lives on a farm and thinks he is a detective! It’s very cute and silly, and Hanks dog brain doesn’t always lead to the correct conclusions, but his special sniffing abilities and hearing do come in handy!
