Book Review: "A CHRISTmas Story" by Albert Detore.

I picked up this book to read after realizing that it is a story about the birth of the Lord Jesus. Though I am not a follower of Christianity myself, I am always interested in reading about different religions. And a book about the birth of Jesus Christ, for children, with rhymes and colorful illustrations, was most welcome.

The book has beautiful illustrations that complement the text. The text, which is written in short rhymes, is very easy to understand and follow.

The story is told in chronological order, starting with a young girl, Mary, who was told in a dream that she would bear a child who would be God's son. The story then tells about Joseph and how he married Mary, following what the Angels told them to do.

The illustrations do depict Mary and Joseph as being from a different ethnicity than the Angels, which might be an important point to note for parents who want their children to read this book and learn about Jesus Christ's birth.

The book also talks about the wise men and how they reached baby Jesus. But again, the part about King Herod and his instructions to kill all young babies might be upsetting for parents who do not want to share these details with their young kids.

Other than these points, the story is very easy to understand and follow. The colorful illustrations will appeal to children, and the rhythmic form of the story will make it easy to memorize. The end of the story is also told in a simple way, possibly keeping in mind its young readers.

Overall, I would give the book five out of five stars and would recommend it to readers who want to know about the birth of Jesus Christ in the simplest way possible, and to parents who want their children to do the same.

There is nothing to dislike in the book, and the writing has been edited exceptionally well, as I could not find any grammatical mistakes or errors in the writing.
