A Christmas Story is a book that gives a narration of the birth of Jesus Christ, popularly referred to as Christmas Day. The story begins with the appearance of an angel to Mary, the mother of Jesus. The events in this book flow page by page in a chronological manner until the time when Jesus and his parents head to Egypt for safety. This book brings out the mysterious ways in which God works. This is evidenced by how Jesus was conceived until the time when an angel informed Joseph of Herod’s plan.

The author, Albert Detore, narrates this story together with colorful pictures. The pictures relate to the story this book narrates. These pictures show angels, shepherds, Mary, and the other people present during the first time Christmas occurred. I also like the poetic form in which the author chose to write this book.

I have nothing to dislike about this book, even though it is a quick read. It was exceptionally edited since I found no single error when I read it.

Many people know the story behind the celebration of Christmas Day, as it is a popular holiday that takes place annually. Therefore, I rate this book five out of five stars due to its brief and precise narration.

Firstly, I recommend this book to people who are of the Christian religion. This is because it narrates the story that led to Christmas Day. This is the day Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Secondly, it is a good recommendation to a person who is not a Christian but is curious to become aware of the Christmas story. The advantage of reading this book is that it takes only a small amount of time to complete it. This book is also a good recommendation for children in the Christian religion.
