Review of You Can't Keep a Dinosaur in the Basement

The story begins with a young girl informing us that her sister has a dinosaur in the basement that she believes should not be there. The dinosaur has ten blue spots on his back, four paws, white spikes, and large, sharp claws. The dinosaur roars all day and night, scaring passersby. The dinosaur grows larger by the day, sticking his head out the window and poking his tail out the door. She serves him chocolate, cookies, and cake, and he eats till he is sick and has a terrible stomach ache.
The dinosaur slurps loudly while drinking tea from a blue china cup. When he poops, he fills a lot of carts, but it's even worse when he farts, and these two little sisters' experiences with their dinosaur are continued in this book. Get a copy of You Can't Keep a Dinosaur in the Basement, written by R. K. Nixon and illustrated by Carla Vize-Martin, to share and comprehend the book's message.
This book appealed to me for various reasons, beginning with the illustrator's ability to produce a graphic work that would attract the interest of children, who are the primary target for this book. The photos are lovely to look at, and young children may learn what a dinosaur looks like and possibly try to draw one, which could lead to improved art skills in children. On the other side, the author did an excellent job of making the book concise and engaging, and there are very few phrases in the book. I like how feelings and ideas are expressed uniquely, and I believe that children can learn some rhyming words from this book, such as "paws" and "claws" in the sentence "The dinosaur has ten blue spots, four paws, white spikes on his back, and big, sharp claws."
I have no negative comments about this book, and based on the qualities given above, I give it 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to children aged 5 to 9, and I found no errors while reading it, proving that the book was meticulously edited.
