The wonder of childrens books

I have a toddler,I have sparked a love of books in her which makes me very happy.I do need to say that I am very impressed at the sheer selection of childrens books available and I love how they are so interactive. Reading her an Enid Blyton at the moment and loving it myself.

There are so many great children's books out there. We have an excellent library system in my city. When my kids were young, we made weekly trips to enjoy story time, play, and choose books.

I love when I hear about parents reading books to their children because it is so important! I am an early childhood educator and I know that reading to them is something that you can start with them while they are babies or even when they are in the womb! It helps with their social development because it is precious time they are spending with you. It helps their brain function, because they are learning so much from a book. Lastly, it helps with their language skills as they learn to speak new and interesting words! Reading books with children opens up their minds to different feelings and experiences. In you have a child, I strongly encourage you to read to them everyday! It truly does make a positive difference in their lives!
