Review of Will You Talk to Me?
I recommend that every parent get a copy of this book for their children. This book is also one of the most amazing gifts anybody can give to a child. Why? Such a child, like the little girl watching the ocean and the immensity of its inhabitants from her window, would like to know why a hummingbird, despite being so tiny, is able to stand so tall and confident even in the face of threats, and when they do, will turn the last page of this book better informed and empowered.
"Will You Talk to Me?: A Story About the Hummingbird and His Wisdom" is a children's story written by Margie Carstens. The story opens with a little girl immersed in her greatest hobby: watching the ocean and the activities going on in it. This girl feels bad when people say unkind things to her, and it appears she doesn't know how to deal with this. What happens when a hummingbird nearby catches the girl's attention and the two eventually get to conversing?
This story comes with several lessons children need to learn and commit to in order to successfully navigate life's obstacles and fully utilize their potential. The teacher is the hummingbird. Children will learn the very first thing to do. They will also learn from this hummingbird how to look within themselves, harness their abilities, and turn their supposed lack to their advantage. The whole thing hangs around self-discovery and empowerment.
I liked the illustrations. They looked so colorful and correctly provided visual representations of their respective scenes. I didn't find any grammatical errors in this book. The language is another impressive aspect of this story. The word choices are not only simple but also engaging. There wasn't a dull moment reading this story. I think everything is in order and that there is no aspect that could be improved.
It's my pleasure to rate "Will You Talk to Me?: A Story About the Hummingbird and His Wisdom" five out of five stars for its captivating story, amazing illustrations, and invaluable lessons on personal development and survival. There is no reason to remove any stars from the rating.
