Have you ever dreamed? Do you remember your dreams as a child? This book is entirely about Stevie Tenderheart's dreams. The author tells us that Stevie even tasted a rainbow with his spoon in one of his dreams. He tries to fall asleep as fast as he can to dream. He came up with a plan to extend his bedtime routine so he could fall asleep much more quickly. In one of his dreams, he wrote a wishful note and left it on a special tree. He requested two kisses each from all creatures to fall asleep. There is a description of kisses from each creature in detail.

I love the humor in the book. The way the giraffe gave the good-night kiss with his long neck and tongue is humorous. The fact that Stevie could allow the lion to kiss him may leave children laughing and terrified. The quotes given by the author were so captivating. I noted them down for future speeches. There are a lot of lessons to be taken by children from the book. The author advises kids to be kind and alert, listen to their parents, teachers, and guardians, and always be careful when crossing the road.

There is nothing much to dislike about the book. The author advised that a reader should use vivid imagination while reading the book and let the words create pictures in the mind. However, I feel that he should have given more pictures to illustrate how the different animals gave kisses. The book has been exceptionally well edited, and this makes me give it a perfect rating. I rate Stevie Tenderheart Books A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story) by Steve William Laible 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to children aged ten and below. It is a good read and has several lessons to be learned by kids. Some parts, like being licked by some animals, may look disgusting and leave kids frowning. This is very engaging.
