Jake has got to be a lucky boy. He loves dinosaurs, and when his aunt went into a store looking for a birthday gift for him, she just so happened to pick up an interest in a particular toy—a dinosaur—and outright bought it for him! That means a memorable birthday for Jake. But then, do you think that Jake, his aunt, and his sister Elina are prepared for this special dinosaur when it begins to do something beyond just walking and talking?

"Roarasaurus: The Roaring Soaring Dinosaur!" is a children's story written by Great-aunt Rita (and she really is GREAT!) with lots of help from Jake and Elina Farber. Great-aunt Rita did clarify that every incident in this story is true, but I really couldn't help wondering how Roarasaurus was able to continue roaring and soaring even after the batteries were removed. Funny enough, the whole confusion turned out to be quite an adventure that so much delighted my soul.

The storyline is fluid and full of exciting action. I was hooked, anticipating what would happen next. The quality of the illustrations also appealed to me. What impressed me the most were the simple yet powerful lessons contained in this story. The incidents show that life is unscripted and things can work either way. Also, the importance of being considerate, kind, and open to new ways of problem-solving is highlighted.

I rate "Roarasaurus: The Roaring Soaring Dinosaur!" five out of five stars, first because I found the account of this special dinosaur captivating and second because of the quality of the illustrations, exceptional editing, and simple language. There is no reason to rate it lower because I didn't find any issues in the book or any aspects that could be improved.

"Roarasaurus: The Roaring Soaring Dinosaur!" is a perfect choice for readers aged five to nine years. Parents and caregivers can also read the story to children who are not yet able to read.

This story is really funny. I can't imagine a dinosaur toy roaring and soaring nonstop. Hmmm. I wonder what my children will think about this story, especially when they get to know that the events narrated here actually happened.
